Sketches of the Weekend - January 20, 2004
today.today is not particularly interesting.
why am i writing then? the need to fill space. a narcissitic urge to be praised, to be commented on. or maybe i'm just bored.
yep, i'll go with that one.
well anyway, today i had fashion sketching. it feels very different because unlike the first two fashion sketching classes, there's not something major due every week. i think that throws me off a little. i'm rather excited for this class though. the more i draw, the more ideas come to me, and i can't wait to see how everything comes out.
lessee...what else to talk about?
well, this weekend, i hung out with kiera. on sunday night, her mom took us to see "big fish," which i've wanted to see since i heard of it. i liked it, but i felt disappointed that there wasn't more of it. i wanted to hear more stories!
monday night, i went with kiera, brent, and kiera's mom to the apartment of one of her co-workers for an "american idol" party. he was a big fan of the show and had even gone to see the idol tour. later he told me he thought i resemble kimberly locke.
"oh, i'm her...i'm in disguise!"
"well, you can have anything you want!"
after watching the painfully hilarious auditions of the first episode, we decided to warble out some tunes ourselves and played "karaoke revolutions." that's the best game ever. ok, maybe not ever, but now i want a playstation or some other vg system. i'd get that, and "dance dance revolution."
so, after giving it a go on the karoake, and butchering a few, we left. then i proceeded to stay up entirely too late working on assignments, seeing as how i'm somehow supposed to be lucid today. ah well, i wasn't too foggy-headed when i presented...
alright, well, i better get on my way. more work to be done, more "american idol" to be watched!
